This calendar is, of course subject to change. If you would like to volunteer to host a meeting at your home, we would greatly appreciate it! Hosts, in general, need only provide non-alcoholic beverages for guests. All guests are asked to consider bringing a snack item, dessert, or alcoholic beverage to share.

This is the "abstract workshop" so please bring an abstract (or CFP you are considering) to the meeting if you'd like to "workshop" it.
February 24, 2012: First Meeting of Spring 2012, CV Workshop and "Ask An Experienced Graduate Student" at Erin Bullock's Place
I'll be sending Erin's address early next week. Thank you to Erin for volunteering her home. Toni will be leading the "Ask An Experienced Grad Student" portion of the evening by fielding questions from our newer graduate students. We'll also take a look at the CVs of our recent Americanist Candidates to talk about how we can all improve our CVs to look more like theirs (because they all have pretty impressive CVs).
March 21, 2012: Reading of THE HOBBIT at the Gee Library
Dr. Reid and the Gee Library staff have pulled together a great event that I hope everyone will be able to attend, and maybe even read at. Basically, starting at 12:30 PM that Thursday, various student and faculty will read portions of the book aloud until we are finished. It is my hope that JUNTO will be able to host our final meeting of the semester that evening after the reading is complete (around 6:30).
